Blackscene.com

I know why you come to this blog. It's for reviews of dating sites. And I know that right now you're saying "Jen, you're the whitest person that has ever lived on the face of the earth. Where do I, a single black person, go to find love on the net?" Luckily for you and your oddly specific question I have just the place for you! Blackscene.com is a dating site with (according to them) hundreds of new members a day.

I put aside my fears that my overpowering whiteness would somehow be detected through my computer screen and browsed around the site a bit. It seems pretty easy to use and has all the typical dating site features like a member search and a list of users that are currently online. The only thing I noticed that seemed kind of strange about the site was that as I was checking it out three of the people featured on the homepage were not black. That seemed strange for a site devoted to "Black Dating".

But anyway, check it out and tell them that I sent you. I'm sure they'll remember me from the gleaming whire glow I gave off as I visited the site.

The words and opinions in this blog post are purely my own. This post was sponsored by PayPerPost.

Ha! I don't know what to make of that comment.

HA! I think what Stacey was trying to say, maybe, is that the reason there were white-folks on a dating site geared to black-folks is that some white-folk are extremely specific in their, um, dating parameters. You know?

Heh, actually I was just laughing at the thought of Jen reviewing a black dating site on her parenting blog. It's just full of irony, but for some reason I'm loving it!

And you know what they say charming, once you go black...

Hmmm. Once you go black...

1) you can never join the KKK..ack!?
2) you never look back?
3) you can never step on a crack?
4) you can never smoke crack?

I feel like I'm just almost getting it but not quite, heh.

And hey Jen, I don't know if you read Plain Jane Mom but she has some good information on other pay-to-post deals that seem to pay pretty well. I don't think you have to limit yourself to one service at a time, right?

I don't have to limit myself, I just think that the dating service ones are the easiest to do. And they amuse me.

And I'll check that other chick out too. Thanks Shan!
